Inauguration Day - A Moment in History

I don't remember ever watching an inauguration with as much pride and hope as I did this one. It is truly a remarkable day in history. What a long way we have come as a country! I remember listening to Dr. King's speeches in the 1960's and wondering how and when things would truly change. I am so proud that finally, we seem to have turned the corner and have elected a President based on ability, intelligence, and integrity rather than on superficial ideals.

These next 4 years will definitely be tough. President Obama has a number of challenges facing him. I hope and pray that we all remember to have patience as we work with him through all of these challenges. The problems we're facing didn't appear overnight....and they will not disappear overnight.

I wish President Obama all the best as he begins the long process of turning this country around and getting us back on the right track.

A number of challenges, indeed. Some people seem to have placed him on a very high pedestal, which is a dangerous place to be. You're right... changes don't happen overnight. Here's hoping people realise that, and stay patient.
